How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Being busy with a career and family, I often talked to others who wished there were more hours in the day or that they could clone themselves to get everything done, I realized there was a great need for this kind of business. Having previously worked at the Lamaze Family Center with moms and co-owning a retail business; my volunteer position on the board of a local non-profit organization as both marketing director and event planner; my work as a writer; and my personal experiences caring for two children, animals, and my ageing grandmother has given me many experiences and skills that I can draw on to assist my clients with whatever they need.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Just Ducky Errands is fully licensed and insured, unlike many individuals doing some of this work for a little extra money. However, rather than requiring our clients to hire us for a set number of hours,as many personal assistants or temp agencies do, we work on an as-needed basis, so our clients can hire us for an hour or five or every week. And we charge very reasonable rates so that individuals such as seniors and new moms, as well as non-profit organizations and small businesses can afford our services.

Presently we have one location with no plans to expand.

What type of payments do you accept?
Presently we accept cash, checks, and money orders. We hope to be able to offer our clients the convenience of paying through Paypal in the near future.

We service Ann Arbor and surrounding areas including Saline, Dexter, Ypsilanti, and Belleville.
