How long have you been in business?
We've been in business since 1898
What is your primary product or service?
Our primary service is to provide the most dignified and professional burial or cremation, at the most affordable cost.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
My interest in funeral service began at an early age when my grandfather passed away. I realized that a funeral director provides a much needed service to our community.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We have always been told, by our families, that our body presentation and how we handle ourselves is second to none.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We currently have two locations, with maybe plans for a third.

What type of payments do you accept?
Insurance policies, credit cards,cash or even payment arrangement are all fine.
Which areas do you service?
We serve Ypsilanti, Ann Arbor, Willis, Belleville, Saline, Milan, Dundee, and any other surrounding area.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
The two funeral homes are owned by Mary & Ed Ochalek, where Ed runs Stark Funeral Service in Ypsilanti, and Mary runs Ochalek-Stark in Milan. Brad Stark is also an owner.
What are your hours of operation?
Monday - Friday: 9am-5pm and Saturday: 10am-5pm and Sunday when needed. Please call anytime day or night.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
That we have done a beautiful job and that "I consider you my friend."
