Since 1996.
What is your primary product or service?
Consulting and training in the workplace. Helping companies hire the best people for the job (pre-employment testing), training and development of those employees (leadership and supervisory development, customer service, communication, +), and developing retention strategies for the organization to retain those employees. We also work with individuals who want to improve their skills and results at work or in life. I also sell training materials (assessments, workbooks, other development tools) to organizations who have in-house trainers who need resources for their programs and initiatives.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I love working with people and have always been interested in what makes them tick, what motivates them, what makes them successful (or not). I saw there was a gap in the workplace in developing people--whether leaders, office staff, or plant workers--and started my business to address that gap in employee development and engagement.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
As a former law enforcement lieutenant, I have a unique perspective on leadership, service, and communication. My work focuses on strategic, relevant techniques and tactics to managing, serving, and working with others, not on theory and case studies. I want people to walk away with knowledge and skills they can put to work immediately. Success is determined by each client and we work together to achieve it.
Which areas do you service?
My local area is SE Michigan, although my work has taken me around the country. I have no geographic limitations for my clients.
What are your hours of operation?
We have standard business hours (9am-5pm EST), although I work with clients based on their needs (shiftwork, evening calls, etc.)
